This souvenir photo album contains historic photographs of the Concordat signed by Benito Mussolini, King Victor Emmanuel III, and Pope Pius XI, known as the Lateran Treaty with the Holy See. The treaty, signed on Feb. 11, 1929, acknowledged Catholicism as the national religion of Italy,as well as recognizing the authority of the Papal State in the Vatican and its military neutrality. The photographs document the ceremony, as wellas providing historic images of the principals involved.
